DOSAGE
To be administered orally.
Calves, lambs, and pigs: 100 000 IU colistin/kg bw/day for 3-5 consecutive days i.e. 3.5 mL / 100 kg bw/day, for 3-5 days. The recommended daily dose should be divided into two if the product is to be administered directly into the mouth of the animal.
Poultry: 75 000 IU of colistin/kg bw/day for 3-5 consecutive days.
i.e. 2.5 mL/100 kg bw/day, for 3-5 days
INDICATION(S)
Treatment and metaphylaxis of gastrointestinal infections caused by non-invasive Escherichia coli susceptible to colistin.
The presence of the disease in the herd should be established before metaphylactic treatment..
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat and offal:
Poultry, calves, lambs, and pigs: 1 day
Should not be sent to slaughter throughout the treatment.
Egg: Zero days
Not permitted for use in animals producing milk for human consumption.
